Exodus Project Scenarios

Desperate Measures

This scenario re-creates the First Battle of Titan as fought on 1 January 2063. Assembled are task forces from four of the six solar nations: the Federal Republic of Mars, the Venusian Mining Corporation, the United Nations Space Command, and the Mecurian Navy. Each nation has its own objectives and its own agenda. The prize is control of Saturn's moon Titan, at once the home of the only known extraterrestrial lifeform and the site of fabulous mineral and hydrocarbon wealth. The frozen Saturnian system is months away from the populated regions of the Solar System; the issue will be settled by the small fleets which happened to be at hand.

The scenario can be fought with standard Full Thrust Fleet Book rules using vector movement (with the exception of no thruster "pushes", see the FT/Exodus Project interface for why) and predesigned spacecraft. Additionally, the ships will be equipped with realistic deuterium-tritium fusion drives, hence the scale of the battle is 1 inch = 1 MU = 80 km and 1 thrust point = 0.01g. Finally, the optional fuel rules will be used as well (fuel cards, available in Adobe Illustrator and JPG format, will be needed). Collectable-card format SSD's in Adobe Illustrator and JPG format. give the starting fleets for each nation.

Victory Conditions: Federal Republic of Mars

Your ultimate objective is to protect the Titanian lifeforms on the surface. Secondary to that objective is to protect your scientists which have been evacuated to transports. At your discretion, you may keep the transports in orbit about the planet (i.e., near your starting edge) or you may attempt to evacuate them from the system by having them escape off the opposite edge. As you hope to win an alliance with the Mercurians, you may not under any circumstances fire upon a Mercurian ship (lose 1 point for each point of damage you inflict upon a Mercurian vessel). You start in Titan orbit on one short edge of the table.

Victory Points

Destruction or retreat of all VMC and UNSC ships by any party: 50 points
Survival or escape of civilian transports: 5 points ea.

Destruction or retreat of UNSC light cruiser: 3 points
Destruction or retreat of UNSC carrier: 2 points
Destruction or retreat of UNSC heavy frigates: 1 point ea.
Destruction or retreat of UNSC 6-fighter squadrons: 1 point ea.

Destruction or retreat of VMC heavy cruiser: 4 points
Destruction or retreat of VMC light cruiser: 3 points
Destruction or retreat of VMC super destroyers: 1 point ea.

Total possible points: 80 points

Victory Conditions: Mercurian Navy

You have no interest in the Titanian lifeforms nor the Martian scientists whatsoever. Your sole and only objective is to destroy as many VMC and UNSC ships as possible (with preference to the former). You get no points for destroying Martian ships, however, you lose no points if they get in your way. You start on the same edge of the table as the Martians, but 6" in front of them.

Victory Points

Destruction or retreat of all VMC and UNSC ships by any party: 50 points

Destruction of VMC heavy cruiser: 6 points
Retreat of VMC heavy cruiser: 4 points
Destruction of VMC light cruiser: 5 points
Retreat of VMC light cruiser: 3 points
Destruction of VMC super destroyers: 2 points ea.

Destruction or retreat of UNSC 6-fighter squadrons: 1 point ea.

Total possible points: 80 points

Victory Conditions: Venusian Mining Corporation

Your objective is to gain control of Titan. To do so, there must no Martian ships remaining on the board. Your secondary objective, however, is to destroy as many Mercurian ships as possible. You had to use a significant portion of your fuel to make the approach to Titan, therefore, cross off half the fuel boxes for each of your ships. You start on the edge of the table opposite the Martians.

Victory Points

Destruction or retreat of all FRM and MN ships by any party: 50 points
Destruction of civilian transports: 5 points ea.

Destruction or retreat of FRM heavy cruiser: 4 points
Destruction or retreat of FRM escort cruiser: 3 points
Destruction or retreat of FRM destroyers: 1 point ea.

Destruction or retreat of MN battleship: 6 points
Destruction or retreat of MN heavy cruiser: 3 points
Destruction or retreat of MN destroyer: 2 points

Total possible points: 80 points

Victory Conditions: Vestan Federation

Your objective is to protect the Titanian lifeforms. You have no particular interest in supporting any of the warring factions present in the system. You are aware that the Martians are attempting to protect the lifeforms and the VMC/UNSC are not. You may fire upon any ships you desire, however. You are free to make any alliances you like with any party, but you must uphold those alliances unless the other party has first broken the alliance. Additionally, you may not enter the game until turn 2 and must set up in the middle of one long edge of the table.
